Description

validation refuse natural=valley on node. But in the wiki ​https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:natural%3Dvalley (natural=valley ) can be used on node

Keywords: natural added; validate removed

Possible reasons include imports and lack of aerial images.

Those imports should be fixed, and without aerial image, valleys should be tagged by people on the ground who know the approximate valley direction, even if not precise. I think the wiki is wrong here to allow nodes.

IMO we should keep the warning in JOSM. Looking at all valleys mapped as nodes like 90% originate from imports in Yemen and Norway. -> ​https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/MGa
