Please update the tagging presets for the new https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:crossing:island tag, it is no longer a value in crossing= .

Hi, why have you removed the values "unmarked" and "no" from railway=crossing? Are they invalid or was it a mistake?

That was on purpose. I don't think they make sense on railway=crossing and only traffic_signals and uncontrolled are listed at osmwiki:Tag:railway=crossing.

There are 89 nodes with this combination. It seems it should indicate places where people use to cross railways without permission?

Ah. crossing=no was already removed from the pedestrian crossing preset in r10522. Now it is only in the traffic lights preset which is fine.
We should do it, French community is planning a mass editing to convert crossing=island to crossing:island=yes in France.
