What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. firefox 62.0.3 (64-bits) JOSM/1.5 (14291 nl) Linux Ubuntu 16.04.5 LTS
2. remote control

What is the expected result?

result should be that remote control is 'connected'

What happens instead?

not connected

Please check that remote control is enabled (it is disabled by default). If it does not work, please tell us from which site you're trying to connect, and copy/paste output of both Firefox console and JOSM.

I cannot have a connection with OSM at all. For example this -> ​https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/50.80819/4.27682
If you can see on the screenshot (for better view, one can download it), i did all the 'necessary -> ​https://smartshare.be/s/zCZhKCpHoFBSQn6
and still got 'message-window' ; to connect the remote control ...

Then please check your firewall, antivirus, network connection etc. Likely this has nothing to do with JOSM.

Indeed,a add blocker(uBlock Origine) on firefox prevented to connect ... sorry, my mistake, all ok now ... Thank you for the quick response though ...
