Description (last modified by hjart)

A few times now I have wanted a way to find objects exclusively within a polygon.

Latest example is buildings with (or without) specific tags exclusively within an open air museum: https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/235321540

I thought it should work with MAPCSS syntax and the query area[building=yes] ∈ way[name=Frilandsmuseet] but it only selects the outer way.

I meant in the search dialog:

Find dialog

In addition to the inview, allinview etc, I'd like a way to find objects only within one (or maybe more) selected polygons (maybe even multipolygons).

Yes I meant the search dialog too. You can switch to mapcss syntax down left.

I'd prefer it to be part of the standard syntax
