#14991 closed enhancement (worksforme)

Allow drawing nodes in "Lasso form"

Description (last modified by Tropicalrambler)

I have been using JOSM for the past four days non-stop. It is a wonderful editor of geographical data. After exploring every tool profusely, I have noticed that you can select in several modes. One of the specific modes I am mentioning here is the "Lasso Mode". I personally use a Wacom INTUOS digital pen board that I bought recently, and find it a wonderful tool for selecting and editing in OSM. I believe the Lasso Mode for selection would be an excellent mode for drawing nodes as well. I searched the extensions, forums, wiki, etc. and found no command modifier anywhere that would allow me to draw nodes in a "lasso mode". This is why I am requesting this feature be added to JOSM, either an extension, or similar, allowing the Draw Node (A) command to have a modifier that lets you draw in "Lasso Mode".

UPDATE
The plugin fast draw works sufficiently well for me, although a smoother drawing version (similar to what Google Earth does) would be great.

Thanks Klumbumbus

Sounds like the Fast Draw plugin is what you are searching for.

Did you play around with the settings of the plugin (Q)?
