Unable to assign advertising=column to an area

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Select an area
2. Assign an advertising=column (or "column Morris") to the area

What is the expected result?

Ability to assign this feature to an area (as Wiki allows)

What happens instead?

Forbidden to set it on an area

Please describe exactly what you are doing and what is the result. There are not really any forbidden tags (historic stuff aside).

Your description is totally unclear. Especially don't we have any area datatype nor are there tagging differences between the 3 types we have. There can be validator warnings, but they don't forbid anything.

I think he means that it is impossible to use the advertising column preset as this allows only nodes.

Yes, sorry for the unclear facts. Yes I tryed to use presets but it doesn't want to tag it when it is a surface. I put the tag by myself but then the object is not recognized as a column (See the list of features in top of the list of tags).

I propose to allow surfaces for this kind of feature. Thanks.
