Hi

It would be helpful to make notes editable / deletable if they haven't been uploaded yet.

Currently there is no way of editing / deleting a note after you clicked on "Create OSM-Note".
The only way to correct typos or delete a note is to delete the whole notes-layer and recreated the note or save the note layer as a text-file and edit the textfile.
