Description

Way to recreate:

  • select a way
  • choose a preset, like highway=unclassified
  • tab from the name field down to the layer field
  • all checkboxes got enabled and selected (defect 1: should not get selected this way)
  • trying to deselect the boxes by mouse/keyboard doesn't work (defect 2)

Re-opened, still existing for me in latest (741).

OS: Windows XP SP3 x86
Java: 1.6.0_07 (but, just tested, same with 1.5.0_16)

The way to reproduce it for me is still as before. One more note: if I do this on a way that already has a flag, example oneway, selected, then tabbing from the Name field to the Layers field, keeps the oneway checkbox working properly. I can select, deselect, and gray it. The other checkboxes, however, are all set, and I can not deselect them. Video proof in the 1st video.

Another thing I've found is that if I select the checkboxes with the mouse, and just click around in the checkboxes, there's also weird behaviour, where I can unset a checkbox, and click the one above and the previous one will be selected again. That's shown in the 2nd video.

could reproduce defect1 (when tabbing the controls in the change window)
and defect2 also, couldn't change the checkbox status with mouse after tabbing (they become active/checked) the checkboxes

Tried it on another laptop, that never had JAVA or JOSM installed. Installed jre 1.5.0_16 and a virgin josm-latest.jar, so no plugins, no config changes. Same result, reproducible checkmark bug (on Windows).
