Description
Every first time I validate something, the "Validation errors" layer is created, JOSM highlights the problems and then I go and click to hide it, since I only use (and want) the "Validation Results" window.
If I delete the layer and validate again, it's recreated.
I also see one drawback to have the layer automatically created: when validating big areas and with a lower zoom level, the new layer with the highlighted objects makes things temporally slower too.
The highlighted objects are a good thing to have, of course, but personally I don't use it nor I want to keep clicking to hide it every time (or even using one more line and space in the Layers window, specially in lower resolution screens).
Could we have an option to completely disable the "Validation errors" layer, please?
It should keep displaying the errors in the Validation Results window, but just not (re)creating the Validation errors layer.

I use it in expert mode and I really tried to find it, but it seems I missed it.
Sorry.
That option is there for ages. Settings - Validator - Use error layer --> uncheck
