#12200 closed defect (needinfo)

JOSM becomes unresponsive when attempt to change the server URL to an invalid value

Reported by: anonymous Owned by: anonymous
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: Core Version:
Keywords: Cc:

Description

I ran JOSM (9060)
Edit / Preferences
Untick "Use the default OSM server"
Paste "http://api06.dev.openstreetmap.org/" into "OSM Server URL"
Hit "validate"
A message comes back saying that that is invalid (correct).
Attempt to edit the URL
All attempts to type in fields in JOSM fail. Java must be killed from task manager.

Windows 7.
"java -version" returns:
java version "1.8.0_66"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_66-b18)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.66-b18, mixed mode)

JOSM was run just by double-clicking on a .jar file.
No status report, because javaw has to be killed from the task manager.

I cannot reproduce. There's a 15s connect timeout (in case your network stalls the connection). Does JOSM response afterwards?
