Editing values difficult due to autocompletion

Description

The autocompletion in the tag editing dialog is *the* coolest feature in JOSM. The only complaint I have is if I want to edit an existing value. Steps to reproduce:

  • Add a node
  • Add name=hurtzmüllergasse to it
  • Now Edit this name. Try to change it to hurtzmüttergasse by marking the two ll with the mouse and typing a t twice

Can you feel the pain :-) ?

Fixed in r736.

Status: closed → reopened

changeset [736] some kind of worsened it. Now it is very hard to add new keys or values, which don't exist already. The handling has been much better before.

Closed in r739. Now also Windows works as expected.

Further complaints only with patches! :-)

Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The owner will remain framm.
as The resolution will be set.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.

Add Comment
E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
