Description
I want to reuse OSM IDs for nodes and ways in projects outside of OSM, rather like OS TOIDs. (I'd call them Osmiroids if I could think what it might usefully stand for, and if that wasn't a brand name of cheap fountain pens.)
http://www.edina.ac.uk/mastermap/support/MMUserGuide.shtml#TOID
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOID
Therefore I need a simple way to see what the ID is for any selected node or way. It would be nice as a copyable field in the Properties panel.

I have added a hidden config option. When you set the preference "osm-primitives.showid" to "true" (using the preferences page, tab "Extended"), then you see the id after every name displayed.
An easy way of copy'n'paste out the id would be:
To get ID's from multiple object over each other on the same spot, press the middle mouse button.
