Description (last modified by )
The latest JOSM build (7892) deletes the preferences folder (~/.josm) on it's startup.
I found this issue in version 7892, but not in 7781. I did not test versions in between.

Sorry, my bad!
I started the latest and then a previous version, to trace a bug and therefore in the stable version all my prefs were gone. As users are upgrading from one stable version to another, this should not be an issue.

ok no problem. I don't think anyone except you has tested the OSX migration, so it could really have been a bug :)

I checked the latest commits and found out, that this is a change in code with version [7835]. It seems like the plugins are not moved correctly to the new directory. I had to reinstall the plugins.
So to be clear the issue is:
Plugin jars are not migrated to the new preferences folder.
