Description
Hi, I would ask you it is possible to display with a generic icon every unknown tag?
I mean, for example the node with the only tag ruins=yes it is displayed with a very small point that is difficult to see.
If it is not possible at this moment can I ask you this for a future enhacement of Josm display?
I repeat, a generic visible icon for every unknown tag.
Please can you say something about it?
Thanks very much.

A larger dot is probably a good idea like (wasn't this the case already in past?).
I don't know about the early days of JOSM, but before the default style switched from XML to mapcss, the node size of tagged nodes was the same like now. (now, since we use zoom levels the nodes get a bit smaller on low zoom. on high zoom it is still the same.) The colour changed from a light-blue-gray to cyan to make it more visible.

You can use the additional mappaint style I just attached. In the list of mappaint styles it needs to be above the default JOSM style (which means lower priority).

Wow thanks wonderful!! That's is what I mean.
Only one thing: can I change the color of the icon?
Thanks very, very much.

You can download the icon from here, change the color in your prefered graphics programm and change in the mapcss file with your preffered text editor the icon path which is at the moment misc/no_icon.png
to your full local path of your icon. So e.g. on windows C:/myfolder/myicon.png
(Use /
instead of \
, which the windows explorer uses).

The cyan box need not be the final solution for unrecognized tagged nodes. It could be larger, have multiple colors, a frame, round shape or whatever (but should be adjusted for different zoom levels).

Nodes with tags and without tags are displayed different (by color ATM). It may be that the current visualisation is a bit low. A larger dot is probably a good idea like (wasn't this the case already in past?).
