Don't use "sub-buttons" on left side

Description

Change the two buttons on the left button bar with sub-buttons to direct buttons, so instead of having one button for the selection and one for the creation of a node with two sub-buttons each, turn them into real normal buttons. Would be much easier and faster to use.
