the user can not see if the scripts did nothing or failed.
it would be nice, if the script could send some information to Ext_tools and Ext_tools would show it to the user.
I have no ready solution for this yet.
Just some ideas. Scanaerial -and others- could send
EE: "WMS not found Err 404"
EE: "No area could be detected"
WW: "No data in this zoomlevel. Please change zoomlevel."
For large lakes the user does not see any effort for some minutes and does not see if the script is still doing good work...

I tried with scanaerial and got a lot of error messages on the console, so there's a basic functionality.
If you're on Windows, see here to enable the Java console.
This plugin is unmaintained by its author and we won't improve this feature further.
