After some time josm unusable

This happens more often and earlier, when I have a lot af data loaded, pE several long logs (80 km with 1point/s) and related pictures with AgPifoJ - in this special case ~700MB.

The error shows himself in wrong colors at buttons and bars at JOSM, a short time later one can't see the content of JOSM-windows anymore. See attached pictures.

The error appears since several months. First screenshot taken 16th march this year. Since recently I made only small edits it didn't really disturb me, but as I am at filing at bugs atm I can also bring on this one :)

Sorry, what I meant is: After _some_ time running JOSM it's unusable. (Filed the bug in the very early morning :) )

How much memory do you assign to JOSM? (You can look this up in Help -> Show Status Report or post the -Xmx command line value you start JOSM with). The corruption shown is pretty strange, I would expect an OutOfMemory error or not being drawn at all. Have you checked your hardware memory to be fine? Do you experience problems with any other memory-intense applications?

I have assigned 2048MB (via Cobra's script: ​http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/User:Cobra/JOSM-script)[[BR]]
I don't experience any other problems.
I use a Nvidia 7600GS with proprietary drivers.

After I switched -Dsun.java2d.opengl= to false instead of true two or three weeks ago the error did not occur anymore.
