Copy/Paste shortcuts do not work

Description

After converting a GPX track to a data layer, I select a way and try to copy it with Ctrl-C, then paste it on the working data layer with Ctrl-V. None of these shortcuts works. I have to select the Copy and Paste options in the Edit menu to make it work.

Version is 1566, used on Win-XP.
