Fix for duplicated nodes deletes ways

Reported by: sahoff@… Owned by: Pieren
Priority: blocker Component: Core validator
Version: latest Keywords:

Description

The automated fix for 'duplicated nodes' does not merge the nodes but deletes one of them. If the nodes are part of an unmerged crossing of ways, one of the ways looses a way point.

This has led to a lot of missing crossroads after fixing duplicated nodes from the Swiss SO!GIS import. See here for an example (valid at time of reporting):

And here for more duplicated nodes for reproducing the bug:

OSM file to reproduce the bug

I've added an OSM file that can be used to reproduce the bug. Open it an validate it. This should produce 1 error of duplicated nodes. Fix it and segment 1 of the Zimmereiweg disappears.

  • Priority changed from critical to blocker

This is very critical as lots of people made me lots of work using this correction-feature!
I downgraded to an older version of the validator which doesn't have this bug!

  • Owner set to Pieren

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

Should work now if you update with validator rev.12280 or later
