josm force to work in English

Reported by: J-L_T Owned by: framm

Description

I'm under Linux Mandriva 2008.1
Current josm version = 1059 (previous one : 1031)

Language plugins are now obsolete and is determined by the default system locale
or the --language parameter. But it is not working!

  • using default commandline (java -Xmx128m -jar josm-latest.jar) =>
    Unable to find translation for the locale: français (Belgique) reverting to English.
    (for info : LANG="fr_BE.UTF-8")
  • using "java -Xmx128m -jar josm-latest.jar --language=fr" =>
    Unable to find translation for the locale: français reverting to English
  • Moreover it is not clearly described what must be given after parameter --language
    (fr, nl, français, nederlands, lang-fr, lang-NL, etc. ??)
