JOSM is an editor for ​OpenStreetMap written in Java 1.5. The current version supports stand alone GPX tracks, GPX track data from the OSM database and existing nodes, line segments and metadata tags from the OSM database.

Changeover to API 0.4 on Saturday 05 May 2007 - JOSM should support API 0.4 since about December 2006. If you have an older version, it will not work. If you have a recent version, as soon as the server is up and running 0.4, use the JOSM preferences editor or any external editor on josm/preferences and add

osm-server.version=0.4

(That setting defaults to 0.3 in the current JOSM version and thus will likely not be present in your preferences.) - If it doesn't work, we'll fix it and announce it here.
