TranslatedPages PageOutline(2-4,Table of Contents) = Split mode = JOSMImage(mapmode/splitway,middle,48,link=,margin-right=20) Keyboard shortcut: **`T`** — is one of the [wikitr:/Help/Menu/Mode#Workingmode working modes] **Split a way by clicking**. \\ The mode helps with splitting ways, similar to the JOSMImage(mapmode/splitway) [wikitr:/Help/Action/SplitWay Split Way] action. When this mode is selected, clicking on a way will split it at the clicked location. When an existing way node is clicked, the way will be split at this node, otherwise a new node will be created. If more than one way is found as a possible target, a dialog with a list of ways to choose from is presented. When one of the possible target ways is currently selected, the selected way will automatically be chosen. Ways that are disabled by a JOSMImage(dialogs/filter) [wikitr:/Help/Dialog/Filter filter] are ignored and will not be split. Only non-closed ways can currently be split with this mode, closed ways are not yet supported. == Advanced Preferences == ||= **Property** =||= **Default** =||= **Explanation** =|| || **`split-mode.ignore-disabled-ways`** || `true` || Ignore ways that are disabled by a filter || || **`split-mode.prefer-selected-ways`** || `true` || Automatically prefer selected ways when there are multiple potential targets || == See also == * JOSMImage(mapmode/splitway) [wikitr:/Help/Action/SplitWay Split Way] ---- Back to [wikitr:/Help/Menu/Mode Mode menu] \\ Back to [wikitr:/Help Main Help]
