 In both cases the nodes are used to determine the radius. The number of nodes the circle will contain is automatically calculted from the radius (by the formula `6 * r ^ (1/2)`). So bigger circles get more nodes. The minimum number of nodes is 6 and the number always rounded up to an even number. The direction of the circle way is anti-clockwise in areas with right-hand-traffic and clockwise in areas with [wikitr:/left-right-hand-traffic left-hand-traffic], to simplify creating correct roundabouts.
