    11I do this all the time. I have an external device and either directly use `--Djosm.home` or simply make a soft link like `ln -s /media/usb/.josm  ~/`.

    3 It sounds interesting but the most important thing in my eyes are handling different settings for which I right now use different directories and for which I have to set it manually on startup or need a custom start script.
