sometimes ext_tools provides after a while a progressbar with cancel button.
Sometimes it does not appear.
It would be nice to have a cancel button that appears just after activating a script.

I have tested this with scanaerial: the progress dialog dialog appears and the cancel button is working.
This plugin is not maintained anymore by its author so we won't put additional effort on this subject.
