    1 stoecker: I saw that, and though about the same thing. In the end I decided to "go with the flow", and match the style of the existing code. This felt better for a first patch submission.

    33Note that the Comparators are not actually identical. Each of the three sorts slightly differently.  So the end result would not be dramatically improved.
