Sometimes public_transport=stop_position is rendered with a just a white empty icon. I do not find any consistency and maybe this just happens with not uploaded changes.

It depends on the other tags on the node. It does not work at all with uic_ref=* for example.

Summary: render problem: public_transport=stop_position → render problem: public_transport= stop_position or platform

quoting from #5041:

a node having the tags highway=bus_stop, public_transport=platform (or public_transport=stop_position) and bus=yes gets rendered as a white, empty icon. After removing the tag bus=yes, the node is rendered correctly.

Status: new → closed

Actually this intended behaviour. There is no icon for these and preset contains misc/no_icon.png.
To fix this new icons would be needed.
