    11It looks like the JVM tries to load all classes, so I'm not going to be able to have a ''minimal'' subset of classes compiled with Java 8. What I can do (and will) following the 24.01 release is apply the patch.

     3EDIT: We'll still compile for Java 8, but won't allow users past the nag screen until they update to Java 11+. And then we can move to Java 11/17/21.
