    1 I should mention that there are only 266 mapped as a way, so half are linear ways and half are closed - however a couple of the closed ways are actually caldera rims: https://taginfo.openstreetmap.org/tags/natural=mountain_range - see for example way 822074812 https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/822074812#map=15/44.3859/-121.9272
     1I should mention that there are only 266 mapped as a way, so half are linear ways and half are closed, though I have not confirmed if all the closed ways area actually meant to represent areas - some might represent a circular ridge such as a caldera rim.
