    1111After restoring some settings (more to be done) I do not see this message anymore starting JOSM and the paint styles work again, nice.

    2121If the messages are gone, better spend the effort to go over to this new init, if not, go back to your old settings by first removing $HOME/.josm and then renaming $HOME/.josm-backup to $HOME/.josm
