    1 My understanding is that the mapcss tests are the preferred solution in JOSM. If that is not the case I can try to code a specilized test for overlapping areas with the following goals:

    22- find overlaps for closed ways and multipolygons
    33- hilite the involved way segements to improve "zoom to problem"
