- Use a search with lots of results, e.g. https://josm.openstreetmap.de/search?wiki=on&q=%22delete.png%22&page=3&noquickjump=1
- Going from one search results page to the next is very slow (takes 22-28 seconds for me each time)
- Going through all results takes long.
It would be great if one could choose the number of results per page to speed up that process. Or if not possible as user choice change the default from 10 to 25. (Or give the search more boost.)

Can we hardcode change the default to 20 or 25? I don't think that would hurt anyone.

Trac search system is very limited, this not linked to the JOSM instance.
It seems it was planned 9 years ago (!) to improve search by using an index or a search engine: https://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/AdvancedSearch
It seems to have been forgotten since. You should comment on this ticket https://trac.edgewall.org/ticket/5850 and create a new one for the performance topic.
