What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. Enable projection EPSG:3031 (WGS 84 / Antarctic Polar Stereographic)
  2. Add Bing layer
  3. Move to South Pole

What is the expected result?

Correct imagery displayed.

What happens instead?

Strange artifacts when warping, see below:
