    1 This is general usability problem, I think. For example try to use Nominatim search for "Canberra" and choose "place" (first item on the list) - you will get the same error with no workaround other than manually finding and selecting area. There will be more and more places, where we have "too much" data, so JOSM should retry with smaller area and offer some other help to users if this solution still doesn't work.
