Copy Paste function is broken for some time in JOSM

Description

For the sake of simplicity, i had made this video tutorial on the latest version to illustrate the bug https://youtu.be/56ZLaZ_BM64

Step 1 : Make 2 layers called copy and paste
Step 2 : Make 2 lines in the copy laer
Step 3 : Select one of the lines and Press CTRL+C (Copy function)
Step 4 : Go to the layer called paste and press CTRL+V (Paste function)

Expected output : to paste the selected line.

If you do it by the Menu in Edit -> Copy it will work perfectly, so i am guessing is is something with the keybindings or something related with the keyboard input.

Sometimes if i repet 2 times step 3-4 it will work.
Somethimes if i press around 3-6 times CTRL+C it will work ....

You can use the macro [[BadReport]] now. Saves a lot of time.

Yes I know, but since only the statusreport was missing and everything else was explained in much more detail (even a video) than the average bug report I felt that using the whole macro would be a bit harsh :)

baditaflorin, I saw several plugins in video; will problem persist if you reset all plugins and settings (Help/ResetPreferences)? (a fresh JOSM install)

baditaflorin, it might be because of other software: clipboard managers or screen casting software can mess shortcuts ctrl+c ctrl+v.

I never had such issue on Windows without other software.

Modify Ticket

Change Properties
Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The owner will remain team.
as The resolution will be set.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.

Add Comment


E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
