josm hangs when saving notes locally — at Version 2

To reproduce this issue:
- make some changes using josm.
- while making changes, make some notes
- upload your changes to the repository
- use the <alt> > File > Exit menu to exit
- When prompted, save the notes locally
The josm ui hangs. See attached image.
