== Interface ==

The **[wikitr:/Help/Menu Main menu]** offers under 
[wikitr:/Help/Menu/File File], 
[wikitr:/Help/Menu/Edit Edit], 
[wikitr:/Help/Menu/View View], 
[wikitr:/Help/Menu/Tools Tools], 
[wikitr:/Help/Menu/Selection Selection],

all actions possible in JOSM.
A search finds every [wikitr:/Help/Action/SearchMenuItems menu item].

On the **[wikitr:/Help/MapView Map view]** all mouse clicks depend on the [wikitr:/Help/EditToolbar#Workingmodes Working mode] previously entered.
New [wikitr:/Help/Concepts/Object objects] are created in ''Draw mode''.
In other modes objects are [wikitr:/Help/Action/Select selected] and edited.

 * The **[wikitr:/Help/MainToolbar Main Toolbar]** has buttons for actions and presets, 
 * while the panels in the sidebar called **[wikitr:/Help/ToggleDialogs Toggle Dialogs]** inform about the [wikitr:/Help/Dialog/SelectionList#Selection Selection],
 * the **[wikitr:/Help/StatusBar Status Bar]** shows the drawing position and
 * the Working mode is controlled by the  **[wikitr:/Help/EditToolbar Edit Toolbar]**. 
  Therefore the buttons in its upper part are the most **important elements** on the screen.
