The **[wikitr:/Help/Menu Main Menu]** and its submenus [wikitr:/Help/Menu/File File], [wikitr:/Help/Menu/Edit Edit], [wikitr:/Help/Menu/View View], [wikitr:/Help/Menu/Tools Tools], [wikitr:/Help/Menu/Selection Selection], [wikitr:/Help/Menu/Presets Presets], [wikitr:/Help/Menu/Imagery Imagery], [wikitr:/Help/ToggleDialogs Windows],  [wikitr:/Help/Menu/Audio Audio] and [wikitr:/Help/Menu/Help Help] lead the way to all possible actions in JOSM.
A [wikitr:/Help/Action/SearchMenuItems search] allows to find every item.
Both the **[wikitr:/Help/MainToolbar Main Toolbar]** under the menu and the **[wikitr:/Help/EditToolbar Edit Toolbar]** on the left side allow instant access to actions and data.\\ \\
 
The **Main Area** is called [wikitr:/Help/MapView Map View].
It is for editing the [wiki:Help/Concepts/Object map objects].
It has a close relation to the panels in the **[wikitr:/Help/ToggleDialogs Toggle Dialogs]** on the right side.
The panels allow to view and to edit the tags of the selected objects.\\ \\
 
The **[wikitr:/Help/StatusBar Status Bar]** informs about the drawing position, the highlighted object and the working mode.
