= Windows menu = 

The Windows menu handles other screen elements in JOSM.
For the different kinds of elements the menu has three sections:

 1. For independent dialogs which can be opened from the Windows menu.
 By default this section is empty. 
 The menu item for the [wikitr:/Help/Dialog/ChangesetManager Changeset manager] appears only in [wikitr:/Help/ExpertMode Expert] access mode.

 1. For all [wikitr:/Help/ToggleDialogs Sidebar panels] like Layers, Tags/Memberships, Selection, Relations or Changesets.
 These panels can be opened with their icons from the [wikitr:/Help/EditToolbar Edit Toolbar] too.

 1. For volatile non-modal elements if present, like [wikitr:/Help/Dialog/RelationEditor relation editors] or the Help Browser window.

With a keyboard shortcut the respective dialog or panel can always be opened, even when their menu item or toolbar button is not shown.

Plugins can add more menu items.
