This panel presents a small map to overview the current area in the [wikitr:/Help/MapView Map View].

== Activating the Minimap panel ==
Show or hide this panel by
* selecting the item [[JOSMImage(dialogs/minimap)]] ''Mini map'' in the [wikitr:/Help/Menu/Windows Windows menu] in the [wikitr:/Help/Menu Main menu]
* clicking on [[JOSMImage(dialogs/minimap)]] in the [wikitr:/Help/EditToolbar Edit Toolbar] on the left of the JOSM main window

== Using the Minimap ==
In the Minimap you can zoom with the mouse-wheel, move and define a new rectangle as editing area.

With the [[JOSMImage(dialogs/layerlist)]] ''Layer'' button you can choose between different maps/aerial imageries, like in the [wikitr:/Help/Action/Download Download] dialog.
