= Marker Layer > Synchronize Audio = See also [wiki:Help/HowTo/AudioMapping Audio Mapping]. Synchronizes the timing of audio playback with an Audio Marker. You need to previously have associated a WAV file with a Marker Layer, either using [wiki:Help/Action/ApplyAudio Apply Audio] for a Marker Layer derived from GPS waypoints or [wiki:Help/Action/MakeSampledAudioMarkerLayer Make Sampled Audio Marker Layer] for a Marker Layer derived from artificially sampled points along a GPS track. You will also have provided an audio cue ("NOW!") on the sound track which was made at the same time as one of the waypoints. Play the audio from the Marker (by clicking its icon) at which the cue was made. [wiki:Help/Action/PlayPause Pause] playback when you hear the cue. If your recorder was started after the GPS track, you may need to [wiki:Help/Action/JumpBack rewind] (don't play from a previous marker, or that would synchronize to that marker instead), and then choose Synchronize Audio to align the audio where it is paused with the position on the GPS track.
