PageOutline and TOC are not the same but in most cases PageOutline is probably the better choice.

Thanks for the info.

I tried to replace the TOC on wiki:Help/Preferences/Plugins but I failed. How do I replace [[TOC(inline)]] ? [[PageOutline(inline)]] produces an error: ValueError: invalid literal for int() with base 10: 'inline'

Should be like
[[PageOutline(1-3,,inline)]]

Replying to stoecker:

Strange, I tried [[PageOutline(,,inline)]] to get all headings but that does not work either. It is different to other macros as you have a certain order. This is not really documented.

I think it is pretty clear:

This macro accepts four optional parameters: The first ...

No word about the importance of order, no word about the saperator. Why do I have to add any number if I do not want to change it (using default e.g. all).

This macro accepts four optional parameters as comma separated list with following order: The first ...

Still think an unordered, comma separated list and with title in quotation marks would be nicer and more consistent to other macros behaviour.

This needs to be mentioned at the TOC macro description.
