Click the add button in the properties window to add a tag to the selected object.

Type something in the ""Please select a value"" text box.

Press tab 4 times so focus passes through the other controls and returns to the value text box.
The value text box is now blank.

This is a problem when the previously focused control belongs to another application. For example I have a photo of a phone number, post code or hard to spell street name. I switch focus to the image viewer application. Then back to JOSM to enter the value. I can't remember it all so I switch focus back to the image viewer. Now I switch focus back to JOSM to enter the remainder of the value only to find the value text box is blank."	defect	closed	major		Core	latest	fixed
