Description
JOSM should auto-fix the tag sidewalk=none with the replacement sidewalk=no. A large number of sidewalk=none tags were inadvertently created in the last several months by the app StreetComplete. This has since been fixed in https://github.com/streetcomplete/StreetComplete/pull/3194
sidewalk=no is the more popular tag (especially if you discount StreetComplete's accidental 100K tag creation since January), and is the tagging used by every other editor including JOSM, iD and Vespucci.
An corresponding auto-fix ticket for iD has been created here:

The chronology for sidewalk=none shows a spike, but also massive usage since 2012:

I'm not opposed to formally deprecating sidewalk=none, but this isn't mentioned in the current documentation of sidewalk=*. I'm not seeing any recent mention on the Taggin-ML either. The talk-page for Key:sidewalk had a discussion in 2017 that ended with no and none being treated as synonyms (I think because none was in the original proposal).

Someone took the trouble to update the documentation of Key:sidewalk to properly mark sidewalk=none deprecated. This issue should probably be put on hold for a short while until this change sticks (which is likely, but it seems polite to give anyone who objects the change to speak up).
I've taken the removal of the special treatment of footway=none out of the patch proposed in #21235.

Seems like this tagging has stuck -- sidewalk=none continues to flat-line and sidewalk=no continues to grow linearly.
