* spatial resolution (per pixel I guess)
* date of the most recent update to Imagery

Personally I would frequently pick: resolution, date DESC - to add more details (to me - this is always the case)
but very rarely: date DESC, resolution - to update some area (constructions are not so frequent)

Instead of fiddling with ""Imagery"" menus (many items) I would trust JOSM to to pick: 1. most detailed and latest, 2. latest and somewhat detailed."	enhancement	new	major		Core imagery
