    Xnest :1 -ac -geometry 1280x1024
    DISPLAY=:1 java -jar josm-latest.jar

To reproduce:

    1. Start X with e.g. ratpoison or stumpwm as a window manager
    2. Start JOSM
    3. Observe the white blank X window
