Java OpenStreetMap Editor

JOSM is an editor for ​OpenStreetMap written in Java 1.5. The current version supports stand alone GPX tracks, GPX track data from the OSM database and existing nodes, line segments and metadata tags from the OSM database.

Changeover to API 0.4 on Saturday 05 May 2007 - 0.4 API should now be fully supported. New "user" and "visible" fields should be saved. API verison 0.4 is the default now, and files written with API 0.3 can still be read (although if you write them back to disk, they will be in 0.4 format).
