The Edit Toolbar

The buttons in the edit toolbar allow to choose different working modes for the map display. Each mode defines what results are caused by actions like clicking, dragging, selecting, ... on the map.

  • In all modes you can move the view by
    • right click + mouse move, or
    • Ctrl + arrow keys
  • Not all modes are visible in normal JOSM user mode, however you can always customize the toolbar to your needs.
  • The whole left panel visibility can be toggled on and off in the main menu view.
  • There might be more buttons depending on the loaded plugins.
  • The button group below the map modes affect the display of dialog windows. These are described under Toggle Dialogs.
