= Lasso =

1. Activate the mode (press `S` to toggle between the lasso mode and the [[JOSMImage(mapmode/move/move)]] [wikitr:/Help/Action/Select regular selection mode]).
1. Draw a loop around the objects. The modifier keys are the same as for the [wikitr:/Help/Action/Select#Modifiers regular selection mode].
1. The selection can then be refined with other selection tools (filters, search, regular selection tool).

== Advanced Preferences ==
Set `mappaint.select.toggle-lasso-on-repeated-S` to `false` in the [wikitr:/Help/Preferences/Advanced advanced preference] to disable the lasso mode completely.
