Tools > Join Node to Way

Keyboard shortcut: J

Join a node into the nearest way segment by modifying the geometry of the way

This creates an obtuse angle in the modified way.

Note: This action only works if the monitor distance between the node and the way is tiny. If it does not work, simply zoom further out.
